Does this mean that the words sound the same but are spelled differently? I've been through long lists of such words in vain

You can PM me with your ideas so far if you like, and I can tell you if you're on the right track.

Cant seem to get the homonym.
What is the meaning of "second is accepted as homonym"? Do we have to search for the first homonym in old english and Shakespearean literature?
So difficult. A hint from the people who have solved the riddle is needed. And PLEASE the hint should NOT be another RIDDLE.

It's very difficult for someone whose main language is not english. At least a hint as to with which letter the homonym starts. And does the homonym has same spelling? If seperate spellings which to write in answer box? Please help

This one took me a while ... thanks to JG for letting me know I was on the right track!

Anyhow, mehroon: you need to think of something that isn't water and also fits with the "It says here you're A" clue. Then replace the question marks with homonyms. I will say that you're not looking for a word pair ... the second can be replaced by one word, but the first is two words.

(Hope that's not too specific mod?)

Is the A the beginning of a man or woman's name?

No. The A is just A.

Or it could be B.

But definitely not C, in this context, at least.

Hi! Is anyone around anymore?
Despite all the clues and thinking I've got some clue as to what it might be, I just cannot get this one!
Is there any further help available?
Thanks!
