No idea where to start

I can't figure out even where to begin. I've figured out all the double letters but I'm making no progress fitting them in. Any help?

I worked on the principle that if it's anything like the other questions in this style then there's a question word across the top row. And like you I found all the double letters - that helped too.

I'm not sure what level of help is acceptable on the public forum, so sorry if I'm not being as helpful as you'd like.

There are many possible paths between any two squares, but they're all as odd as one another.

I can only see one place to start, which doesn't seem to fit... Unless you're allowed to fit this in diagonally?

If it helps: re-read what Helen said above, bearing in mind the cruel people behind PuzzleDonkey like to throw in red herrings. It would be much too easy if a word present in the string made it to the final grid intact. ;)

I haven't got a clue where to start with this one - can you count two of three letters that are the same as a pair?

I know exactly what you mean. My 'starting' place isn't at the start of the string; it seems to be the only place where one particular pair of letters can go. But then I'm faced with a word that doesn't exist in any known language... Hay-ulp!

"Squares of the same colour (except white) must contain the same letter"
